We are committed to investing in our communities. One of the ways we do this is by carrying out development and regeneration works that will improve the quality of life of the people living in the area.
This includes constructing new buildings, renovating existing ones, and developing public spaces such as parks and recreational areas. This is part of our goal to make our neighbourhoods more liveable, vibrant, and sustainable for everyone who calls them home.
We are also a proud strategic partner of Homes England and have received Government grant funding to support us in the delivery of new affordable homes across the country.
Current projects
The Victoria, Glasgow
Our redevelopment of the former Glasgow Infirmary will create a mixed-use development of 413 residential homes and 11 commercial units, whilst retaining the iconic Nightingale wards. The Victoria is located in Battlefield, the historic district of Langside on the south side of Glasgow City Centre.
We are currently constructing 43 social rent homes, 61 mid-market rent homes and 209 private sale units, while 32 new supply shared equity homes have already been completed and occupied by residents. The former hospital is being transformed across three phases to create a whole new unique community, including a public realm, retail units, green space and new 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes.
We’re delighted that The Victoria development was crowned ‘Starter Home of the Year’ at the Scottish Home Awards 2025.
Completed projects
Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire
We have successfully delivered a major regeneration project in Cumbernauld which has seen the town’s 12 tower blocks replaced with 588 high-quality new homes.
Working in partnership with the Scottish Government and North Lanarkshire Council, we demolished a dozen high-rises and regenerated four sites across Seafar and Kildrum over a ten-year period.
The final phase of the £100m project saw the completion of 131 affordable flats and a local office at Burns Road in 2023, which is now a home to more than 200 residents.
Alongside the homes we carefully designed the landscaping, improved pedestrian routes across the site and created new, welcoming outdoor public spaces.
Another feature of the site is the unique curved form of one of the blocks, which responds to the oval shape of the surrounding highways and provides a new signature landmark for Cumbernauld.
Adam Place, Cumbernauld
Our £9 million Adam Place development in Seafar, Cumbernauld, has seen the disused former Lennox House commercial site transformed into 44 new high-quality apartments for social rent.
The new homes were built by our construction partner, CCG, while the project was supported by funding from the Scottish Government.
The properties have been developed with accessibility in mind, with all flats suitable for future adaption with wet rooms or for wheelchair access.
Sustainability is also a key feature, with a zero-emission exhaust air source heat pump system throughout and each property having a dedicated parking space with electric vehicle charging points.
Completion of this site marks another important milestone our regeneration work in Cumbernauld, as part of a wider programme to meet the established local need for more affordable housing.
Duncan Street, Greenock
We’ve delivered 64 new homes for social rent at Duncan Street in Greenock, transforming the site of a former health centre into a new affordable housing development.
Delivered in partnership with the Scottish Government and Inverclyde Council, the development provides a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom flats and houses to help meet local housing need in Inverclyde. It was supported by a £6.9million grant from the Scottish Government and built by our own in-house construction team.
Designed to support a range of needs, the site includes family homes, two wheelchair-accessible flats and two bariatric flats, alongside parking, electric vehicle charging capacity and strong access to Greenock town centre, local amenities and transport links.
It also incorporates a lasting tribute to prominent Greenock boxer George Dougan, through the naming of George Dougan Place within the development.
We were honoured to be joined by George’s wife and family to celebrate his legacy during the official handover of the site.
