This consultation is now closed. Thank you for your participation.

Our Board of Management is now reviewing all of the feedback we have received, and will meet on Tuesday 18 February to agree on the rent increase for 2025/2026.

We will update you once it has been confirmed.

Our Board of Management will meet on Tuesday 18 February 2025 to decide how much your rent will increase in 2025/2026.

We want to make sure that the rent you pay is affordable for you and every other Sanctuary Scotland tenant, while still being able to provide a high-quality service.

To strike a balance between what we believe is affordable, and our financial needs as a landlord, we are proposing to put our 2025/2026 rents up by 4.1 percent, the equivalent of the Retail Price Index (the rate at which the price of goods and services rises) figure for November 2024 of 3.6 percent, plus 0.5 percent.

This increase would allow us to cover the increased costs of the homes and services we provide. This means we can continue to maintain and improve our homes, while adding social value to our communities.

The table below shows how our proposed percentage rise would impact different monthly rents.

Current rent Proposed rent from 1st July 2025
£400 £416.16
£450 £468.45
£500 £520.50
 £550 £572.55

Our rent increase will take effect from July 2025. We will send you written notice of this change at least four weeks before your rent level changes.

How your rent was spent in 2023/2024
