A winner of the Helen MacGregor Award (which recognises volunteers who serve on the Board of a Scottish social employer), j ’ has 13 years of corporate governance experience and is one of two vice chairs of Sanctuary Scotland. With an MSc in architecture, j ’ is currently the Designer in Residence at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and the Built Environment, Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. A member of the ZEMCH (Zero Energy Mass Custom Housing) network and a CSIC (Construction Scotland Innovation Centre) champion, j ’ has a deep interest in sustainable affordable housing.
Most recently j ’ has worked with housing associations to support and develop community vitality. She was the chair of Tenants First Housing Co-operative when it became a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association in 2012.
