Share your thoughts on standing charges

The energy regulator Ofgem is encouraging Sanctuary residents to share your thoughts on standing charges.  
 
The standing charge is the cost set by your supplier to cover the maintenance of the UK’s energy supply network. The charge varies depending on where you live and must be paid regardless of how much or how little energy your household uses.  
 
You can read more about the consultation on the Ofgem website. The deadline for telling Ofgem what you think is 19 January 2024.
