Nigel’s background and career in economic development and regeneration has fostered his strong interest in social housing and community development. His career has spanned roles at Deloitte, North West Development Agency, and as Regional Development Director with Ernst & Young, with extensive experience working on regeneration projects across Scotland and the north of England. Nigel has a wealth of experience of roles on boards, notably the Institute of Economic Development and as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the University of Salford; he is the founding director of the specialist economic advisory business, Mickledore.
