Sanctuary Scotland
We’re really excited to share our new Inclusion for All strategy 2024-2026 setting out how we’ll deliver on our ambition of being a truly diverse and inclusive organisation.
Inclusion is one of our core values at Sanctuary. Our goal is to be a diverse, inclusive organisation where our people thrive and meet our customers’ needs with fairness and empathy.
To do that, we know we need to embed diversity and inclusion at the heart of everything we do.
We’ve worked closely with both our colleagues and customers to create our second Inclusion for All strategy. We want to ensure that we’re listening to their diverse voices and setting ourselves aspirational targets to deliver services and work environments that meet their needs and are truly accessible to all.
Our new strategy has four key objectives:
- Know our customers
- Attract, retain and develop diverse talent
- Provide accessible and inclusive services and workplaces
- Embed an inclusive culture
Alongside these, it also places a much greater focus on equity - removing barriers and recognising that people may need to be treated differently to get equality of opportunity – as well as being data informed.
We’ll track our progress closely throughout the lifetime of the strategy, reporting to our customers, colleagues and senior leaders to monitor our progress and ensure we’re delivering on our objectives.
We also continue to work with and learn from our diversity and inclusion partners, including the Business Disability Forum and Inclusive Employers.
Nicky Ensert, our Diversity and Inclusion Manager, said: “We’ve already made great strides on our diversity and inclusion journey, and I’m excited for what this new stage of Inclusion for All will bring over the next three years.
“By working together, broadening the scope of our ambition, and continually striving to learn and do more, I know we can make a real difference.”
